Janet M. Theiste, 62, of Eau Claire was called to her eternal home Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire due to complications from surgery. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 6, 1946, a daughter of John and Jean (Carlson) Beecham. She graduated from Holton High School in Holton, MI and Mankato State University. Janet married Rev. Frederick W. Theiste, at King of Grace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, MN, on January 18, 1969.

Janet was very active in the Concordia parish, where her husband, Fred serves as Pastor, and where she was involved in many activities. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her husband, Fred; four children, Tammy Theiste and Todd Theiste both of Eau Claire, Tricia (Jason) Evans of Waukee, IA, and Troy Theiste of Muskegon, MI; five grandchildren, Matthew, Parker, Brookelyn, Mackenzie, and Dylan; her mother, Jean Beecham of Fremont, MI; three brothers, John (Patsy) Beecham of Holton, MI, Jay (Zanita) Beecham of Fremont, MI, and Jeff (Kim) Beecham of St. Paul, MN; two sisters, June (Kevin) Thoele and Jeanna Beecham of Holton, MI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Beecham; and maternal and paternal grandparents. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Olsen and the Rev. Martin Doepel officiating.

Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the Village of Lake Hallie near Chippewa Falls, WI. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. 

In lieu of flowers her family requests memorials be directed to Concordia Lutheran Church, 3715 London Rd., Eau Claire, WI 54701, or charity of the donor's choice.
