| Media Notes | Former Resident Dies in Norway Mrs. Anna Mathlesen Dahl. 55, died Sunday in Bergen, Norway. The daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Johann Mathiesen, she was born in Whitehall and came to Eau Claire with her parents when she was a year old. She was graduated from the Eau Claire High School and attended the college here. She married Odd Dahl, whom she met on an ocean voyage, and went to Norway in 1927. Dahl is one of Norway's foremost nuclear physicists. Mrs. Dahl is survived by her husband; a sister, Birgit (Einar) Mathiesen of Oslo, Norway; two brothers, Erling of Milwaukee and John Mathiesen of Eau Claire; a son, Per F. Dahl, of Madison; and two grandchildren. A daughter Karin has died. |
