Media Notes	Passed away Saturday evening, December 1, 2001, after a long struggle with cancer. She will be buried in Hinesburg, VT on Saturday, December 8. Kirsten was born in Oslo, Norway on June 12, 1934, and came to America in 1956 as a member of the Norwegian diplomatic corps. She married Jerry Shumway in 1960 in San Fransisco. Eventually she settled in Rockville, MD, working at Montgomery College. Survivors include husband, Jerry; son, Scott, daughter-in-law, Kim Hazelrigg and their children, Aiden and Signy; and son, Martin and his fiancee, Kirsten Sylvester. A memorial has been set up for the Montgomery College Foundation Fund Next Step Scholarship, 900 Hungerford Dr., Rockville MD 20850.
