Media Notes | Arthur Cihla A native of Rhinelander, where he was born Febuary 21, 1899, Cihla started with Ripco September 26, 1927, as a millright. He was promoted to supervisor March 12, 1945 and retires as millright foreman. Cihla and his wife Vi, have one son, Arthur (Dick), a machinist at Ripco, and three grandchildren. Cihla worked as an apprentice carpenter for four years with his father after completing high school. He served as gunner's mate, third class, in the U.S. Nacy during World War I from October 1917 to January 1919. His chief hobbies are fishing, hunting, archery and fly fishing. This year he bagged a six-point buck with bow and arrow as he hunted for the 26th year as an archer. He plans to give his son a hand working on his house and about Febuary 1 will leave for Sarasota, Florida. He plans to travel extensively for the next several years. |
