Obitary for Jacob Wilhelm Immanuel Døderlein

From "The Moody Church News", May 1933, page 6

Elder William Doderlein, of 4848 Kamerling Avenue, went home to be with Christ, whom he loved and faithfully served, on April 25. Death came very suddenly while at his place of business. Mr. Doderlein was born in Oslo, Norway in 1862. He was saved when a young man and was a member and Elder of the Moody Church at the time of his decease.

He leaves a wife, two sons, five daughters and fourteen grandchildren to mourn his very sudden departure from this life, to whom the fellow members and and host of friends in the church family extend their love and tenderest sympathy in this hour of bereavement. May the Lord Jesus be their comfort and stay.

The funeral service was conducted by Pastor Herring, assisted by Pastor Porter, in Torrey Chapel on the afternoon of April 28. Internment took place at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

"Absent from the body, Present with the Lord".
